I went in for an operation. Unfortunately I was the last on the list to be performed on for that day so I had to wait all day without being able to eat or drink and felt quite weak later on in the afternoon. The actual operation itself went fine, everything was explained to me. The post-op care was good, I was on a small ward of only 4 beds (the actual ward was quite large and was seperated into rooms of 4 beds with a couple of individual rooms) which I thought was good.

The only gripe I have is that I had to wait over a year for the operation. I thought the NHS had a waiting time of 6 months for operations.
