"Vascular Department at Torbay Hospital."

About: Torbay Hospital

Anything else?

Last September, 2012, as the result of a large pulsating lump developing at the back of my right knee, I was referred by my GP to the Vascular Department at Torbay Hospital. In very quick time I was placed into the excellent care and expertise of the Ultra Sound Vascular Team, and referred to a consultant. The consultant carried out a Popliteal Bypass procedure on 31st October, and 5 days later I was discharged from the hospital. I am currently attending Torbay Hospital for subsequent periodic follow-up scans under the supervision of my consultant and his Vascular Team.

I very much wish to place on record my sincere gratitude to my consultant for his superb skills and judgement, and very importantly to his Vascular Team - four members - who not only carried out their particular and professional expertise so well, but did so with such kindness and thoughtfulness. Torbay Hospital and its staff are an outstanding example of everything that is so excellent about our fantastic NHS.
