I have been familiar with three Sharoe Green units on different sites over the period of 38years as a patient and remember the names of the consultants who dealt with me. I first attended in 1975 for the birth of my daughter, then in 1977 for the birth of my son. In the following years I had 2 D&C's; and a bladder operation/camera check, then a hysterectomy in 2009 and then my latest operation on 2nd January 2013 for removal of ovaries having had a mastectomy at RPH in 1996.

With living near Kirkham my GP always asks if I want to go to Blackpool Victoria Hospital but I always insist on Sharoe Green where I feel safe and at home.

I am pleased to say that the high standards of care are still maintained in the Sharoe Green unit.
