Anything else?
My husband recently had a thyroidectomy, and has been on Ward 25 for longer than anticipated owing to complications in getting his calcium, potassium and other such things balanced. We are fairly new to the area and had no preconceived ideas about what Scunthorpe Hospital was like, or what its reputation was. As far as we are concerned, the surgical team have been fantastic and the staff on Ward 25 couldn't have been more helpful, considerate and professional. The 'human' side of nursing is very evident - we have been made to feel that they had time to answer our questions and talk things through if there was anything we were worried about. This is rare, as in some other hospitals you are frequently made to feel like something in a production line!
ps: A & E staff were also impressive.
"I'm impressed!"
