On Sunday I went to the optician who saw something in my eye. He faxed a message to my GP. On Monday morning at 9 am my GP phoned to ask more details and to tell me he was referring me the JR eye hospital. By 9.30 am (the same day!) I received a call from the eye hospital asking me to come in within the hour. By 13.00 on that day I had been seen by a consultant, treated and discharged! This was all on the same day! Awesome service! NHS at its best. At all times communication was excellent. I can not believe how efficient and professional the service at the JR is. Thank you.

We know that all our staff work hard on improving the patient experience and comments such as this show us that our patients are benefiting. We value all feedback because as well as helping us highlight areas that excel it also helps us address areas that may need attention. We realise that attending hospital can be a daunting experience and are pleased that you were seen by a consultant, treated and discharged on the same day and hope you continue to progress well.
