I was a patient on ward B3 of the Queen's Medical Centre in Nottingham following a stroke. The standard of care which I received was very good in nearly all respects, although I was very upset about being in a mixed sex ward, as a man tried to get into my bed at night while I was sleeping. If I had been on a single sex ward, then this would not have happened.
