"A & E receptionists"

About: York Hospital

Anything else?

I visted york hospital on Monday 14th Janary 20130 and would like o comment about how appalled i was with the level of care and the disgracful manor of the reception staff. I was there with my 3 year old son who was suffering from breathing difficulties, a raging temperature and hallucinations, whilst checking him which can i say took all of at least 5mins for her to even acknowledge that i was there as she was far mor econcerened in the dog which she had sat on her lap, I would have thought that due to a dog being not the cleanliness of things then a hospital would not be the best place to find it due to germs etc especially seen as it was found wondering outside, who knows where it was from anyway, when she did finally notice i was there she spoke to me in one off the rudest ways i have ever been spoken to by someone who is supposidly in the care profession shethen went on to lecture me in the most patronising maner i about the fact i did not ring the out off hours surgery, to which i said well why would i ring them when i have the option of him being seen faster if i bring him here asap and also due to the fact he can hardly breath why would i waste my time speaking to someone who carnt even see him. during my conversation with this women she then proceeded to start to talk to someone else whilst she was suppost to be helping me. I was totatally discraced with it all i even had to sit in the waiting room with an ill 3 year old whilst people who got there after me where seen first then was told to move over to the other waiting room to see the nurse and had to start at the back of the queue again only to be told by the nurse after eventually being seen to make an appointment at my gp. I have put in an offical complaint about the service i have seen and would like to say that after 3 visits to my gp who are absolutly brilliant my son is now fine
