Thank youfor taking the time to provide feedback for TRAQS following your referral.

I am disappointed to hear that you were not aware that your GP was referring you via TRAQS. We have supplied all GP practices a supply of TRAQS Patient Choice leaflets which explains when the patient can expect to hear from TRAQS. When TRAQS contact the patient they will discuss the referral and provide the patient with a Choice of hospitals to attend where appropriate. In the leaflet we do ask patients to keep their GP practice informed of contact details to ensure that TRAQS can contact the patient by phone whenever possible to avoid any unnecessary delay

We have recently changed our booking process and no longer book an appointment until we have spoken to the patient.

I am happy to hear that you have attended the NewCross Hospital, that you were pleased with the treatment and that you will be receiving another appointment shortly.

I am sorry for an confusion caused by you not being aware of TRAQS.

Your feedback is very important to us to enable us to develop the TRAQS service further for the benefit of patients within the Telford and Wrekin GP practices. Thank you again for taking the time to respond.

Thank you for sharing this, particularly as it must ave been very concerning for you. From the information you have provided it sounds like the local GP referral process waas making an appointment for you at Wolverhampton so I am sorry that here at the Princess Royal Hospital we did not know about this. Communication clearly needed to be better all round. I hope that the follow up appointment has gone according to plan ... but if not please do contact our Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) to follow this up. The PALS office is located near the main entrance at the Princess Royal Hospital. It is normally open Mon-Thu 9am-5pm and Fri 9am-4.30pm. You can also contact them by telephone on 01952 282888, and there is an answerphone to take messages outside opening hours. Please note that PALS staff may be busy with other patients or relatives when you call, so please accept our apologies if they are not available immediately to take your call. More information about PALS is available from our website at http://www.sath.nhs.uk/patients-and-visitors/pals
