Our family have used the Victoria Infirmary for over 40 years now, attending for various minor accidents etc. We always received professional and prompt attention with kindness and courtesy. More recently as we have got older we have used Victoria's facilities. I have attended ENT and Ophthalmology on a regular basis - more recently I have been attending and been treated at the Dermatology Department. On every occasion at every department I have received 1st class attention and treatment. All staff in every clinic were helpful and pleasant. You hear so many complaints about the NHS that I wanted to put to pen my overall feelings regarding the staff and compliment and congratulate them on their ability to carry out their duties so well in busy conditions. My husband recently was admitted through A&E and ended up receiving treatment for chest problems and was diagnosed with emphysema. He received respiratory medication and he feels if he had not received such care whilst there he may not have recovered so quickly and so well. He had too much praise for the staff in the wards he was in - ended up in Ward A. Thank you one and all in 'the Vicky'.
