Had an unstoppable nose bleed whilst driving on the M25. I am on Warfarin which didn't help.
I tried my best to stop it but in the end had to call the paramedics to help me. The response from calling the emergency service using the motorway SOS phones was excellent and the staff attending to me in the ambulance were very professional and helped me calm down prior to taking me to the A/E from which I was transferred to the AMU ward and then to Hazelwood for further treatment and supervision.
I must thank the personal support shown to me by the paramedic who actually came to see me after her working shift was over to ensure that I was ok. This gesture of kindness and thought was over and above her day to day responsibility.
I also found that the medical staff on both the AMU and Hazelwood wards treated me well. By the way I enjoyed the food as well...
