About: Royal Free Hospital

What I liked

I had arrived at the clinic expecting a long wait and the possibility of having to come back on a different day for a thorough investigation. However I was seen within 10 minutes of my appointment time by the Nurse consultant, who was very empathetic, knowledgeable and reassuring and 25 minutes later I was being prepared for an endoscopy. Every member of staff, with whom I came into contact was very supportive and I felt very well cared for. The whole appointment was over within 2 hours. Thank you to all the staff who treated me.

What could be improved

Difficult to say, as everyone was lovely but I found the procedure very challenging. I had not expected it to be so, having had one before and I think it might have helped me to have been told that it could be painful so that I was prepared.

Glad to hear you had a good experience at the Royal Free. We will pass your comments and feedback onto the staff in gastroenterology and hepatology services.
