"Completely happy with my hospital experience ...."

What I liked

Having had a Hip-replacement on December 19th,and being on Martlesham Ward ,for my brief stay, my wife and I were more than impressed with the 5 Star Pre-op and Post-op care given to one and all. Having had my other Hip replaced by the same brilliant surgeon at the nearby private hospital some 5 years ago and paying £10,500, we could not believe the NHS,could be so brilliant, Two hours Pre-op advice ,which we never had before ,and a nurse available,if you have to call one. My wife was even allowed to visit me at 2.30pm as she was gone again by 3.15pm as she dosent do night driving. (wife comment) I did tell the staff how wonderful they were and assured them I would be singing their praises ,so when Mark Murphy on Radio Suffolk was doing his Xmas Thank yous , I rang in and Martlesham Ward got a mention for its wonderful service on Davids (my husbands) behalf. My husband was wheeled to my car on the Sunday ,which was excellent. When I collected my husband from hospital before I could not even find a nurse to tell he was going and when I did she did not even see him off the premises!!,just said OK. Once again many, many thanks for our great Service Astrid Marsh (Mrs)

What could be improved

My husband says the breakfasts were the tastiest meal of the day.
