What could be improved
Staff in reception left an elderly gentleman sat in waiting room in obvious pain as he was crying out, when he called to a member of staff she looked at him stopped as she walked then ignored him and carried on this was disgusting to watch!

Thank you for your comments posted on this website concerning your observations while at Wansbeck General Hospital.
This is clearly not what we would expect our staff to do and we apologise for this. I will pass your comments on to our Chief Matron and the managers of the reception areas at Wansbeck General Hospital in order that they can remind staff about the importance of observation and action while patients are waiting to be seen. Thank you for taking the time to write.
