(as the patient),

I think TRAQS is a complete waste of time, trying to send you to hospitals miles away when there is one 1/2 a mile away!

In my opinion TRAQS don't even know where consultants hold their clinics.

Old system was much better when the GP contacted the hospital directly and the hospitals came back with an appointment.

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback to the TRAQS team following your recent referral.

I am sorry to hear that you feel that TRAQS is a waste of time. TRAQS is a new service which began in June 2012 and exists to offer patients/carers support when referred by their local GP for further treatment.

Unfortunately TRAQS can only offer available appointments at local hospitals when they're released by the hospitals andTRAQS are unable to advise of waiting times and waiting lists at individual hospitals. The hospitals manage their own internal waiting lists and these can range from weeks to months depending upon the speciality and the hospital chosen.

Unfortunately not all hospitals have consultants' names attached to the appointments booked. This is because many clinics are now 'pooled' which means that there are a few different consultants who could see the patient depending upon the date the appointment is booked.

Thank you again for taking the time to give feedback. We value all feedback received as it is used to develop the service further for the benefit of patients registered with GP's within the Telford and Wrekin area.
