What I liked

Some of the staff went out of their way to ensure I was given the appropriate pain management for me which I found very impressive. The staff made me feel comfortable and confident that the care and treatment I received was of high standard and that they really cared about my health and welfare.

What could be improved

A cleaner, on the 'day ward' spent all day cleaning and appeared efficient but the heals on the shoes she was wearing were covered in mud.

During my overnight stay one of the nurse staff made a racist comment about one of the other patients (an Asian lady) and could be overheard by all patients on the ward.

Hello, I am sorry you did not get a response to your feedback at the time due to a technical issue with the site which has only just come to light. We have now asked NHS Choices to put this right. I am pleased that you felt staff provided such good care and helped you manage your pain well during your stay.

However I am concerned about the issues you mention regarding the cleaner's shoes, and particularly about the racist comment you overheard. That is completely unacceptable.
