We are sorry to hear that you recently had difficulties accessing the local Out of Hours (OOH) service.

The OOH service in Worcestershire can be contacted after 6.30pm on weekdays and at any time on weekends and Bank Holidays on 0300 123 3211. This number is advertised in GP surgeries, on GP surgery recorded answerphone messages, on the NHS Worcestershire website (http://www.worcestershire.nhs.uk/your-services/out-of-hours/), and in several newspapers and other publications freely available to the public. This message is repeated when there is a forthcoming Bank Holiday.

Additionally NHS Direct operates 24/7 and is able to give appropriate advice. NHS Direct can be contacted on 0845 4647 or you can visit http://www.nhsdirect.nhs.uk/.

The OOH service based at Kidderminster Hospital is not a walk-in service – patients (or their relatives) must first call the telephone number above and they are provided with an appointment time to be seen if this is necessary. We are sorry for any confusion caused.
