This is a copy of an email I sent to the CEO
I was in the cardiology day ward ( Swift ward ) yesterday and I felt that it was important to write to you, to let you know about my experience.
In today's throw away society, it is so easy to expect so much, complain when we don't, but never gracious enough to say thank you. I am an old fashioned kind of person and believe saying thank you is the right thing to do.
Firstly I would like to talk about my consultant, not only is he a very professional man, he is a gentleman and a wonderful doctor. He is a huge asset not only to your hospital, but he is also a major asset to the medical profession. The care he gave me and taking time to come and see me, was outstanding.
Secondly the staff on Swift ward are staff to be proud of. At all times they made me feel like I was a person, they considered my dignity and probably the most important thing for a patient, they has personalities. The care I received what outstanding, because I have a blood clotting problem, they made sure that was done correct and were reassuring at all times.
I know that you are extremely busy, but could you please pass on my thanks to all concerned. I know how important feedback is and I hope you will pass on my comments.
Finally if your hospital is guilty of anything, it is guilty of having the best cardiology ward in the U.K.
