What could be improved
i arrived at 2:15 for a 2:30 appt, at 4: 00 i had to approach the desk and ask how much longer i needed to wait.
i was freezing cold and hungry. then someone approached and took me through to the assessment room.
she started to ask questions i.e. general medication etc.she asked me if i was related to anyone with "mad cow disease" this term i find very offensive as my x husband died of CJD (THE TERM THAT SHE SHOULD HAVE USED) she went on to ask which part of the brain had been effected? as this was 12 years ago, i had no idea as i understood all the brain was effected.
she then said i woul have to wait as it needed checking, i said i had had enough waiting, as i was due to go to work night shift. she said there would be a wait. i chose at this stage to leave as i felt the wait was excessive, i was freezing cold and hadn't eaten since 8:00am
in truth it was not a good experience, for someone not in the best of health.
Anything else?
i have made another appt for christmas eve and trust this will not be the same experience.
"not good"
