"Patience well fair! Is a complete joke"

About: Warwick Hospital

What I liked

The hospital is an absolute joke, I was admitted via A&E for a lump which has being growing on my throat. I got seen by a doctor after waiting 3 hours and then she took bloods and told me I was going for scans on my chest. I went in with a throat problem, I was never told what the issue could be, over an hour later I was taken by to this room which I can only describe as worse than a hostel it had tissues on the counter which had dried blood on and the floor and machinery was just vile.

Finally another doctor came to see me and told me I needed to have an ultra sound he told me I could go home although I wouldn’t be taken off the register and he would call me first thing to book my ultra sound and pre-op to have this lump removed.

Over 24 hours later I called up as I had no phone call, turns out this doctor never called the scanning department and no op has being booked. So now I have to wait again for a normal out patient appointment while not being able to eat solids as my throat is restricted. When I asked if I could not be moved up the queue as I cant eat I was told no as they don’t do scans on a Tuesday? Hold on isn’t this a hospital? Sorry I didn’t realise people only opened a vital piece of equipment on certain days.

This place is a complete joke.

I am very sorry that you are not happy with your experience of our A&E Department.

We try and treat all patients as quickly as possible but as I am sure you appreciate patients are seen in order of their clinical need. If the department is under pressure then it means that some patients do experience a longer wait; however, we always aim to treat all patients within four hours.

Please could you contact me on the below address so that I can understand more information about the cleanliness of the room and investigate your care further.

Kind regards
