"A much longer stay than expected alleviated by..."

About: Warrington Hospital

What I liked

The professionalism of the entire colo-rectal staff, nursing staff, care staff and all ancilliary staff clearly working a team with a very positive attitude to their tasks and with a positive attitude that encouraged patients at all times.

Food was a pleasant surprise although I was not allowed any for some time. When I started eating , I consider I was fed quite well. Some really tasty meals and the baked potatoes were first class - kitchen should open a stall on Lovely Lane

What could be improved

"Steak and kidney in red wine sauce topped with puff pastry" - the sauce and the meat was excellent (really good). The huge puff pastry topping which I imagined would be delicous eaten in my fingers was indeed so but turned out to be about two square inches in size!

Anything else?

I was impressed by the uniformly high quality of nursing and care provided on my ward. Handovers were clearly carried out with great efficiency. Consultants and junior doctors seemed top appear on the ward frequently and at all hours; communication with this patient was excellent

Thanks for taking the time to leave your feedback with us and we'll make sure it is passed on to the staff in the colerectal team for you. We'll also feed back to the catering team about the size of the puff pastry, but are pleased to hear it met the taste test!
