"When I was a midwife"

About: NHS England

(as the patient),

Back in the seventies when I was a midwife there was much more respect towards the patients and each other.

Firstly we were not on first name terms nor did we discuss personal matters while being busy with a patient. Whatever was said was only concerning the patient, and that must be a rule and obeyed.

I trust staff are not allowed to use their mobiles while on duty.
