"critical care = Angels...ward 13 the majority dont..."

About: Royal Preston Hospital

What I liked

critical care ward nurses are angels, polar opposites to the treatment my dad recieved in ward 13

What could be improved

look at the staff in ward 13, a couple of nurses where caring towards my father, but on one occasion I informed someone that my dad had been left sat in his chair since 1am, she actually started laughing, not a nice atmosphere hearing nurses openly complaining about their workloads, even the doctors seemed disinterested in this ward, I have always argued that preston hospital was a brilliant hospital, but if this is a sign of things to come, oh dear!! we are i n trouble. I considered going to the evening post but my father wanted no upset, so I honoured his wishes, I really felt the need to do something, but what is the point?

Anything else?

critical care ward.......unbelievable, caring and hard working!!!!

ward 13..........absolutely shocking to see, I was horrified by the lack of compassion. I understand the staff are working in uncertain conditions, cuts etc, but surely these people are not fit to care for people, they appear too interested sat talking about their home life than to care for people...........in short not acceptable in 2012!!!
