I understand that the NHS is short of staff. And that services can be a little slow. But on two separate days I waited over 2 hours for a 5 minute consultation. The more recent appointment was even booked at 9, so that I could get to work st a
Reasonable time. The excuses seem to the same everytime, there's only one doctor. Or we've had an emergency. Or we are doing the best we can.
As an NHS employee myself, If I've kept my PTs waiting for more than 20 minutes, I always get staff to apologise and give a realistic time of when they will be seen. The callous way the staff spoke to us when we asked how much longer they thought it would take... Just shows how little they think of their patients and how much they think of themselves. It's never anyone's fault, but a little courtesy would go a long way. They obviously don't teach customer service skills at Withington. If you have to go cancel ur plans... You'll be there all day
