"Appointments and follow up"

About: Royal Alexandra Hospital / Ophthalmology

(as a parent/guardian),

My daughter was booked in the eye clinic for 9am, after waiting 30 mins beyond the appointment time and with everyone booked in after us getting seen someone finally came over to tell us her records weren't up from the records department.

Diabolical. They knew she was coming months before this appointment.

I will ensure that this is passed on to those involved to allow them to reflect on your comments.

Normally, patient records are only retrieved from our records storage the day prior to the outpatient appointment and I can only apologise that they were not available at the time of your daughter's appointment.

I am sorry that this posting was not acknowledged at the time, we had a break in our use of Patient Opinion, but we have now resumed doing so, and I thought it was still important to acknowledge your posting and where appropriate to pass comments on.

Once again, thank you for using the Patient Opinion feedback system, it is greatly appreciated.
