After spending a total of seven weeks in North Tyneside Hospital and enduring ten operations, I felt I had to leave a comment about the exceptional level of care that I received here. Though many of the weeks were a little hazy, due to anaesthetic and prevailing circumstances, I cannot praise the staff, both doctors and nurses who attended to me, highly enough and would definitely recommend this hospital to anyone considering it in the future.

I travelled from West Cumbria with trepidation, partly because I was going to be a long way from home and also a fear of what was to come - my operation was for a complicated hernia, suffered due to a crush injury at work - but had I known then that the level of care I would receive would be of such a high standard and second to none, I need not have worried.

A diary was written most days to chart my progress and nothing was too much trouble for the staff, their cheeriness a real tonic, and I was kept informed of my progress and future care needed at all times. I was even presented with a cake and a card signed by all the staff on my birthday!

Really cannot fault this hospital and both myself and my family are very appreciative of the care I received.
