About: Ipswich Hospital

Anything else?

I visited the hospital with my wife who had an appointment today 5 November 2012. My concern relates to the BBC1 TV programme (Nick Nickleby) that was being relayed into the waiting area. From the pictures and limited audio it seemed to relate to abuse and was insensitive especially as the majority of people waiting were older (or elderly). That it included a young woman apparently trying to seduce a young man was also inappropriate. According to one TV magazine the subject "included modern day care homes for the elderly" but It is one thing to choose to watch a documentary in your own home but in this department people had no choice.

Thank you very much for raising this issue. Colleagues in the orthopadic team do monitor what is showing on the television channel in the waiting area and will do so very closely following your comments to make sure programmes are appropriate. Thank you once again.
