"Problems with hospital transport"

About: Frenchay Hospital / Neurology Great Western Ambulance Service NHS Trust / Patient transport service

(as the patient),

I had a 3:10 pm appointment at Frenchay Hospital, some 20 miles from my home in Weston super Mare. The transport turned up at 3:05 pm.

I was told by telephone two days earlier to be ready by 1:10 pm and of course I was ready and waiting from this time. I thought the service appears to be efficient and professional. How wrong you can be?

Unfortunately the planning department during the day decided to take my job off the original crew and give it to another. The daily planners did not consider an outstanding trip the new crew had nor their lunch break which they had to have.

The planning department should have informed me of the unacceptable delay. By the way, for last year's appointment they never turned up at all. Feedback and apologies would help.

I am NHS staff and it saddens me.
