I visited a friend who was a patient on ward 4 at the Nottingham City Hospital for the treatment of chest problems. Though the staff were friendly and the medical care was very good, the cleanliness left a lot to be desired. From what I saw, when the wards were being cleaned, no cupboards or lockers were moved at all (they just tried to clean around them). In my view, my friend ended up with a serious infection as a result of the poor cleanliness.
