"Improvements needed at Rotherham District General"

About: Rotherham Hospital Rotherham Hospital / Urology

(as the patient),

I was a patient on ward B1 of the Rotherham District General Hospital for the treatment of a urinary infection. The standard of care which I received whilst there was, at best, average. There was certainly nothing outstanding about the way I was treated.

I was not impressed with the noise level, and with the constant banging of doors throughout the night. The food could also have been a lot better.

The worst thing, though, was the mixed sex ward, which I found made me very embarrassed.

Thank you for posting your opinion.

We use all negative comments posted on the site to help us improve the services we offer to our patients and learn from each one. We are particularly keen to reduce noise levels on the wards and this issue will addressed when we go through a series of refurbishment on the wards.

We strive to continually improve the patient experience and strongly believe that through listening to patients we can ensure this happens.
