I have been on a variety of medication for the past 12 months after being diagnosed with the disease sarcoidosis. What i find incredibly confusing and ever so slightly concerning is the repeat prescription procedure. Firstly, when i was started on my medication, no one at the hospital actually told me that the hospital only issues you with one months worth of med' and then you have to go to your doctor for more. Pretty important information really, especially since without prednisolone i would get pretty ill. I asked at my local surgery reception about repeat prescriptions by email and was met with a blank stare, my local GP didn't have a clue how it worked when asked, and neither did my specialist at the hospital. So i sent an email inquiry to the email address i was given for repeat prescriptions simply to find out how it worked. The reply explained what i needed to do, but when i placed my order the reply when the order was ready did not explain where i was supposed to go to collect my prescription, it just said "prescription ready". For someone who has recently/never had any experience of the system, it all seems a mess to me.
