I wasn’t given any choice of hospital when the TRAQS team contacted me and was confused when he said who I was being referred to, community rheumatology service, as I was expecting a hospital appointment, I. e. Princess Royal. He didn’t offer me any explanation of what the new service meant for me or where I would be going for my appointment. So I was very surprised that when I got the booking confirmation through that I would be going to Hollinswood child health centre site. Then the same day I got a letter form the community rheumatology service showing my appointment but instead of saying the child health centre site it said Dale Acre Way, Hollinswood. So I had to ring up to see exactly where I am meant to be going and to make sure I was going to see the same rheumatology consultant. It’s all been a very unsettling experience which I hope not to repeat.
