"Excellent support given during husbands heart failure- Rotherham"

About: Adult community services / Heart failure support services

(as a relative),

Excellent. My husband was referred to the cardiac care nurse after bypass surgery. Jackie Smith who waited at home.. she was helpful and reassuring. Later he was told he had heart failure, again Jackie was supportive and caring. She referred him to the heart failure specialist Sarah Briggs who also gave him the most considerate care possible.

We attended the talks given at the health centre by the cardiac team. We found them to be informative and helpful. All the staff were very caring and approachable. Heart surgery is a traumatic experience and a diagnosis of heart failure is very scary. I cannot praise enough the Rotherham health centre.

Dear Otter135, many thanks for your posting on the Patient Opinion web site. We do appreciate your feedback and it is good to know how helpful and supportive our staff were to both you and your Husband, during what would have been an anxious time, and that the course you attended was both informative and helpful. Your kind comments will be forwarded to the staff concerned who will be delighted to hear they were able to provide such an excellent service.

With best wishes,
