My elderly father has been seeing a GI consultant for a month or so.
The hospital had issued an appointment letter for this week, but the nurse noticed that it hadn't been posted. She rang my father, but because he's hard of hearing he didn't answer the phone. So, on a Sunday, she went out of her way to post the letter by hand.
She was also present at the appointment, and was very supportive and helpful. She also gave us her number, saying that we could ring her with any concerns whenever we needed to.
