What I liked

I was an inpatient on C6 ward for Pneumonia and Pleurisy after being transferred from the A & E.

I cannot fault the treatment of the kind and supportive nurses that looked after me for the 10 days stay. Very conscientious, polite, friendly which makes your stay worthwhile. All doctors were extremely professional, spoke to you rather than looking through you, answered all my questions which I was apprehensive about, explained the diagnosis and dealt with the problem immediately which i was very impressed with. My utmost respect has to be said about my very well mannered Consultant, extremely thorough in diagnosing the situation and always with a friendly attitude and smile and certainly helped me with my breathing problems. A very worthy member of staff. I work in a hospital myself and was certainly impressed with St Helier Hospital during my stay from 2nd October.

What could be improved

Not waking patients up out of there sleep at 11.30pm to ask them to move wards when they are being discharged the following morning. I was not impressed.
