What I liked
I went to chase farm a+e having misscarriage symptoms. After waiting 3 hours to be seen, and after much confusion about who was doing what, I was finally seen by a nurse and then a gynocologist. I was taken to a shabby room with a door that wouldn't close, and told to put a sheet on the bed myself (!). The consultant did a rough and unpleasant physical examination and was told not to worry, I was made to feel quite stupid in fact. Then I went home and was told to wait for blood test results.
The next day another gyno rang me and said blood work was good, offered me a scan but said there was really no need and that too many scans might cause harm (I had one already a few weeks before and another was booked for the following week). However this advise is rubbish - there is no research to suggest this. If I had gone to this scan I would have found out my baby was dead, despite them telling me I was 'stupid for worrying'. So I went to my normal booked scan the following week and discovered this.
In this case my baby died, not because of chase farm, but their lack of experitise and time contributed to missing all the signs, and I could have been saved a lot of trauma down the line if this had been picked up sooner.
Something should be done.
What could be improved
If it's closing, then hurry up and close it.
