"A big change in Lincoln County Hospital"

About: East Midlands Ambulance Service NHS Trust Lincoln County Hospital / Accident and emergency

(as a relative),

What a difference in three years!

Three years ago my mother had had some experiences at ULHT that caused her so much distress that she said she would never go back into hospital.

Just over a week ago she was admitted as an emergency by ambulance with a suspected TIA and head injury. She was assessed, had a CT scan and was admitted to the stroke ward within 2 hours.

She was kept informed of what was happening throughout her time on A&E and while on the stroke ward she was treated with respect and her needs, including her visual impairment, were always taken into account, her condition was discussed with her and the care was excellent and the ward clean.

Thank you very much for taking the time to leave us your feedback; I passed this onto the Deputy Director at Lincoln County and she has asked me to say:

"I was delighted to hear you had such a positive experience in A&E and the Stroke unit, especially after such a difficult time in the past and will make sure the individual teams involved are made aware. I hope your mum is making a good recovery"

Thank you once again.
