(as a service user),

I had to wait 6 months for my first appointment which wasnt the best ever, as by the time I had my first session I was at rock bottom. Talking to the carer (rather than friends/family) helped me massively and I only had 4 sessions and felt like a huge weight had been lifted as I thought I wasnt coping with work, ex partner, 2 year old, helping family.

But it appears nobody is perfect and life is hard, its what you make of it.

Thank you for providing this valuable feedback. We are grateful that you have found the service useful. However we are very concerned that you waited for so long before receiving support.

We always aim to meet with people for their first appointment within 4-6 weeks. We will try and find out why this happened. More importantly we will discuss with the rest of the team ways that ensure this doesn’t happen again.

Thank you for this very helpful feedback. Just to let you know, we have made changes to our different referral processes. The different referral processes that we had were put in place to try and meet the needs of different GP surgeries that were using different referral systems. We have now created one fairly simple system that will allow referrals to reach us quickly. This enables us to be even more responsive. We will continue working on improving this and we would greatly appreciate it if you and others continue to tell us what you think about our services.
