After developing type 2 diabetes in October 2011 my doctor recommended 'Why Weight' (now 'Bite Size').
I joined my local class in November and at once was made welcome. The 12 week course was helpful and I was soon changing my lifestyle with a new outlook to food and cooking. I have always had a problem with my weight and sticking to a diet wasn't easy but this wasn't so much a diet as much as healthy eating.
In 10 short months I have lost 52 pounds (nearly 4 stone), stabilised my diabetes, reduced my cholesterol, and lowered my blood pressure dramatically.
The staff kindly let me continue getting weighed every week after my course had finished so I expect to lose more, and more importantly- keep it off. I feel healthier and my exercise level has increased.
I would recommend why weight/bite size to anyone who wants to lose weight by learning how to eat healthy and wisely.
