"I actually enjoyed the time I was there!"

About: Cumberland Infirmary

What I liked

After a long wait to be called in for a total hip replacement the day arrived only problem a long distance from home giving me an early start. On arrival at hospital I was welcomed to the ward and the staff who would be looking after me every thing was explained in a very friendly and helpful manor. The consultant came to see me marked the leg where they were going to do the operation again explaining what would happen and when. I was taken to the operating area again all the staff introduced them self's and explained what was going on then was taken into the operating room. Next thing I knew was being back on the ward. I was very uncomfortable but the staff had all the problems in hand and a little while later after been given pain killers I was sitting up in bed having a cup of tea!

What could be improved

Not really anything I was happy with every thing that happened with me.

Anything else?

Every member of staff from the consultant and their team to the ward staff no one could have been more helpful. The ward staff were extremely good nothing was too much trouble for them and always had a moment to spend with me and even arranged any help I needed.
