What I liked
My Dad collapsed with a massive stroke and pneumonia last week: he was swiftly given thrombolysis treatment and transferred to the acute stroke ward (Ward 41). Everyone my family dealt with during this difficult time gave exceptional medical care, and also kept us fully informed of my Dad's progress. All staff from doctors to cleaning staff were friendly and helpful, and the constant care and attention my Dad received (daily consultants visits, MRI scans, chest X-rays, chest physiotherapy) left me fully confident that he was getting the best treatment imaginable. I must say a special thanks to the nursing staff especially, who were lovely and reassuring at a time of crisis. I truly don't think my Dad could have been better treated at any other hospital in the country. I can only sincerely thank all of the staff on the ward, as well as the paramedics, for all of their efforts. The general cleanliness levels of the ward/hospital were immaculate.
What could be improved
Nothing- this was one of the best experiences at any hospital my family have ever attended. If anyone else has a stoke, or relative who has had one, and has to visit the hospital, trust that you are in excellent hands.
