What I liked
I was a visitor who was satisfied with the way my friend was treated throughout

How I sympathised with all the medical staff, not on staffing numbers or anything 'clinical' on which I am not qualified to comment, but from what they have to tolerate from visitors.
6 patients in the ward, 2 newcomers just having been returned within the previous hour from surgery, another very ill lady, one loud individual awaitng discharge. That leaves 2 corner beds, one of whom had husband, daughter and 12 month old holding court, the child allowed to roam and crawl to whatever it chose to touch. (please use the handrinse indeed....). After the visit, all friends/neighbours were sequentially contacted on her mobile to recount the event in the loudest of voices.
The other corner bed patient had 4 visitors - maybe not planned but that's how they came in 2 pairs - each with their pungent smelling afternoon hot take-aways to have a picnic around the bed. Terrible!
How can staff possibly be expected to concentrate, not make mistakes? It is such an imposition on them and allows a total disregard for their individual professionalisms.
Please reestablish strict control of visitors if they don't know how to behave themselves.
Thank you.
"Staff fine, visitors absolutely impossible."
