"Overloaded frontline workers"

About: Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust / Working age mental health care (community)

(as the patient),

It appears to me that Sussex Partnership NHS Trust receiving awards when they are treating they're frontline workers and hence clients so badly. Ii is my experience that my Community Mental health nurse is run off her feet and is unable to support me properly due to her excessive work load while the top people take the credit with awards. It's unfair and infuriarating.

Thanks for the post - its difficult to know how to answer it without sounding meaninglessly glib... but the trust does aspire to support its staff well and so provide excellent care for service users - if this is not happening it helps us to know the specifics so we can sort out the problem - our Patient Advice and Liaison service is at PALS@sussexpartnership.nhs.uk or maybe a local campaigning organisation such as Mind or the Local Involvement Network www.bhlink.org can help. Mind is organising a meeting with local commissioners on Tuesday 23rd October 2012 2-4pm to gather opinion on recently introduced local mental health services and also proposals for new day services in the area which might be of interest - its at South Wing Conference Room, Community Base 113 Queens Road, Brighton BN1 3XG- everyone is welcome and more information is available from 01273 666950
