Absolutely nothing, see below.
What could be improved
Cleanliness and care, see below.
Anything else?
Further to Magoo6262's comments, I visited my mother on Tuesday 18th Sept, who was in the same ward.
When I arrived, she had been moved to a private room, where I found her distressed and sitting on a commode, with a soiled incontinence pad hanging down between her legs. The stench was horrendous! She had, and did, sit on this commode for a considerable amount of time before recieiiving any help. She had been moved to this room as she had soiled herself in and around the ward bed. This despite asking for assistance from the nursing staff.
The following day, I came down with the worst case of diarrhoea that I have ever had, and the smell in the house was the same as that in the room.
Coincidentally, my brother, whom I have not seen for 12 years, visited the day after me. He too has come down with the same bug.
I can only assume that both of us picked this bug up from the hospital,
The cleanliness of the hospital in general and the MAU (Female) Ward in particular leave a lot to be desired.
"Poor standard of care and clealiness."
