What I liked
I was admitted to Accident and Emergency on Saturday morning after I had been transferred from the Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle following a severe fall while on holiday in the Lake District which resulted in several fractures to my right arm. I was seen very quickly and the Orthopaedics consultant arranged for me to have surgery later in the day; he was very impressed by the quality of the information provided by the Cumberland Infirmary and it meant that he could get me ready for surgery earlier. All the nursing staff, in Accident and Emergency, and then on Beech Ward, and also when going down for surgery, were very friendly and caring and helped to relax me. The surgery would appear to have been very effective and I was able to go back home later on the Sunday.
What could be improved
Nothing at all
Anything else?
Thank you once again to everyone in the Accident and Emergency Department and to those lovely nurses who looked after me on Beech Ward.
"Very efficient and caring treatment."
