About: Hillingdon Hospital

What I liked

Visits from my family and friends.

What could be improved

The showers and toilets to be cleaned more regularly as I was uncomfortable. The staff to be more patient and have a professional attitude as they lacked this and often shown their frustrations and took it out on patients at times. Not all staff but some. The staff also did not listen at times depending on the nurses of how I felt comfortable with the dressing of my foot as they all did it differently and as I tried to ask if they could do it a way one nurse did it, the nurse treating me disregarded my request. I have also seen staff attend patients who needed the bathroom and once the patient had the portable toilet the nurses did not come back for a while and left the patient behind the curtains. A visitor had to go ask a member of staff to come back as the patient was calling for help for a while. Lastly the staff phoned my family in the morning to say I was being discharged and to come and collect me once my dressing on my foot was done however I was at the hospital till 7.30 in the evening waiting for my dressing to be done and to be discharged which caused an inconvenience for my family member picking me up! Thank you

Anything else?

Apart from everything else, the food was lovely and had a variety of choice each day.
