What could be improved

When my mother was transfered here from a different hospital the consultants and nursing staff did nothing but complain that the previous hospital had not done the correct tests and given the correct treatment,however since she has been here she has been moved from pillar to post at every oppotunity.She has not been given a clear diagnosis,having been told different things each time we enquire about what operation she is due to have.Yesterday she was told late evening that she was definately going to have the major operation she had been told she was having,on the morning of the 25th September 2012.We were all prepared and ready for what was to happen,for them to suddenly change their minds again late morning of the 25th and decide that she could have a minor op instead and would have to wait another 2 weeks for the major op.

No-one seems interested in giving us a straight answer to anything.Nurses reply with'I don't know'when we ask them when the op may be and what the treatment is that my mother is having.

We haven't seen a consultant during any of our visits either afternoon or evening.

It is a disgrace.They have no respect or care for the patient or for the family at such a worrying time,and the nursing sfatt are hardly on the ward anyway(level 9a,millenium wing).I feel it is diabolical to have to walk from ward to ward to find a nurse for assistance,only to be told'I will be with you when I can'.My mother has buzzed for a nurse a number of times as she needs help to get to the toilet,only for a nurse to appear some 10/15 minutes later at the pace of a snail.

I look forward to recieving the trusts comments and a full personal apology.

This is unacceptable behaviour for a hospital
