What I liked
Parking is free, this is a plus, but can be tricky so allow extra time for this and please park responsibly. The only time I ever had parking problems was because of inconsiderate parking.
Clinics generally ran very close to appointment times and I actually felt like the consultant and other staff cared, in other hospitals I've just felt like I was on a conveyor in a factory. In Loughborough, I am always a person.
What could be improved
It can be somewhat difficult when for certain departments, appointments can only be booked between certain hours. I can imagine for some people at work this could be very difficult. In addition, for certain clinics only one person was able to modify appointments and it took over a week to track that person down because they were off a lot - this was particularly troublesome.
Anything else?
It might sound strange, but I wouldn't mind paying a little for parking, even if it were an 'honesty box' type of affair. This might even fund a warden to make sure people aren't taking advantage of the free parking and walking elsewhere which in turn would relieve the obvious congestion in the car park.
"Very good hospital overall, better than most of..."
