What I liked
This comment is on behalf of my 9 year old daughter who needed emergency surgery following an accident which trapped an artery in her arm and subsequently required an arterial bypass. The care she received from the vascular team was exceptional throughout the time she was in hospital. We felt that our daughter was monitored closely the whole time and any questions that we had as parents, were not only dealt with in an efficient manner medically speaking, but also with real empathy and sensitivity at such a terrible time for our family.
We felt that our daughter was in safe hands and receiving the best care possible.
Everyone in the team was fully informed as to what was happening with our daughter. It was a real comfort to know that communication between all those involved was so seamless with everyone fully up to speed. At such a difficult time and with the anxiety of having such a badly injured child this was really important to us.
What could be improved
We don't feel that anything could have been improved. We had every confidence that everything possible was being done for our daughter.
"We were confident that our daughter was receiving..."
