Once a year I have an appointment with a dietician and I order my products through the hospital. Overall I have found the service very good. Recently my points have changed so I can’t get biscuits or sweets any more but I still get bread and mixes for pastry.
I have been on a gluten free diet for 5 or 6 years. For the first few years I had appointments annually but then I missed a couple of years. When I rang up to order my products I was told I needed to have an appointment to be able to order. I never received any reminder about these appointments. As they are only annually it is easy to forget to ring and book. If I could receive an automated reminder tell me to book in, this would be really useful.
Finally, my wife is housebound and I think it would be a good idea if housebound patients could have regular phone calls from the doctor (maybe once every 3-4 months) just to check they are getting the right products for them.
