I've been privileged to be involved with the 5B's Trust's Assurance Unit over the last 3 years through my audit related work as a member of the Trust's Involvement Scheme, and additionally as a member of it's monthly Quality Performance & Risk ["QPR"] Forum meeting [ie, a governance assurance responsibility].
The Assurance Unit team is blessed with a plethora of highly experienced & personable talent, under superb leadership - right from the off, I [and other scheme members] were made to feel very welcome and it's always a pleasure to visit the office whilst I happily go about my various audit-related Involvement Scheme activities.
One cannot help but learn both quickly & very enjoyably, and it's inspiring to see the team's very real focus on & desire to provide for the Trust's delivery teams that it supports so professionally with its outputs. In my commercial experience, it's rare to find such a support unit & team that has this level of progressive ethos, and the office buzzes quietly with a reassuringly warm "can do" atmosphere.
I've benefitted massively from being around this ethos & atmos, and it's enabled me to feel equally welcome & fully engaged as an equal-contributor Involvement Scheme member of its QPR Forum - the forum collective is equally blessed with the similar plethora of highly experienced & personable talent, spread across operational, performance & assurance disciplines and it's continually reassuring in my privileged 'Patient perspective' position to witness & be part of the collective's very candid introspection of its governance assurance responsibilities.
"All Good Stuff! ", and my very real thanks & ongoing appreciation to all concerned for your investment[s] into helping me play my integral part.
"the excellent Assurance Unit team"
